Choosing a good eyelash extension professional, one who uses the proper techniques and quality products, is the key to a great eyelash extension application and safe removal of eyelash extensions, when it’s necessary. You’ll find a listing of Trained and Certified Xtreme Lashes Stylists on our website!

Many eyelash extension products on the market are a re-brand of the same generic product from the same supplier! Not ours! Specially developed all the way by our team of industry professionals.

The above image is an example of a set of (competitor) lashes that required a full removal before re-applying by an Xtreme Lashes Stylist. These are NOT Xtreme Lashes® Eyelash Extensions.  This client thought she was visiting a ‘reputable’ salon and paid $100 for these extensions. Please put your eye’s in safe hands to avoid possible irritation, infection, discomfort, pain and unnecessary additional costs!

Whilst all of our stylists Practice Safe Sets we have highlighted those using the Full Flex Fusion System and adhesive with a red tick for those of you looking for the best option for sensitivities.

Bat For Lashes

Xtreme Lashes® have earned themselves an enviable reputation as the leading eyelash extensions. Louise Weston, marketing and creative director at Xtreme Lashes®, explains how they create show-stopping lashes.

There are a number of reasons why Xtreme Lashes® create such stunning, long lasting and safe lash extensions.  Firstly we pre cleanse the lashes with a special preparation to remove all traces of residue or oil that might contaminate the process and result in a poor outcome. During the first 48 hours we educate the client not to allow their lashes to get to wet as the adhesive requires time to cure.  A number of other companies offer one length and thickness, however everyone’s lashes grow in different stages.

Our lashes follow the growth pattern of our own hair and nails so if they grow fast your lashes will drop faster. Lashes differ from person to person as some people have straight lashes while others curly.  We teach our stylists to design a frame to suit each individual client and different eye shapes, which is why a proper consult is so important.

During a client consult the stylist will ask the client whether they are after a natural look r maybe something a little more glamorous. Some clients don’t want to have to wear mascara at all while others will want to continue wearing it over their extensions. We have 600 types of lashes ranging from thick, thin and super thick and a number of different curves: X35, X40 and X50. The X50 is the curviest lash used on people who need a lift but who have straight lashes, which gives them even more of a lift. The X35 – X40 are more natural looking lashes. A combination can be used to achieve the desired result.

Around 30 per cent of our stylists have changed over from a competitor product before coming to us.  The designing for your clients needs is something creator Jo Mouselli of Xtreme Lashes® has spent years developing.  All our lashes are synthetic as they hold their shape whereas real hair lashes tend to bend and crumple. Our lashes are thicker at the base and thinner at the tip so this tapered shape better resembles natural lashes, plus the synthetic lash goes hand in hand with our adhesive.  Xtreme Lash stylists apply a minimum of 60 lashes per eye and most do their costings based on a natural look of 60 plus lashes.  For a more glamorous look 80 plus lashes are ideal per eye and for an even more extreme look 100 plus lashes.  We don’t use silk or mink lashes because they tend to crimp and don’t hold their shape.  We would never offer mink lashes because of our philosophies and the fact we value safety so highly, however we soon plan to launch a faux mink range.

Lashes grow in a 60-90 day cycle so we teach our stylists to choose the right length to get the maximum lifespan out of the lashes. This is why the cleansing and brushing process pre-application is so important because it catches any lashes, which are ready to drop naturally. We also ask clients to return in around three weeks for refills, which are designed to cost less when the lashes are maintained in this manner.

Eyelashes are filters to the eyes and need to be treated with respect. Where some companies come undone is when they adhere a few false lashes to an individual lash at a time or if they use an inferior adhesive. Our adhesive doesn’t contain any carbon black. We also have a huge range of colours which not only makes our range fun and appealing but also creates a wide range of styles from the more extreme ( a full colour set) to the more subtle (a few coloured lashes added to create a highlight to bring out the eyes). A stylist can apply browns and auburns to suit certain complexions rather than black for example. Subtle highlights are a lovely way to bring out the natural colour of your iris. Mascara can then be applied over the top if desired. Xtreme Lashes® retail products are all compatible with our lash extensions. Several of them have won awards and the range itself is quite revolutionary. Our under eye gel pads treat the eye area while lashes are being applied and clients have had great success with our lash fortifier, Amplifieye.

The training involved in becoming an Xtreme Lashes® technician is of the highest standard. Firstly you have to be a qualified beautician or have to have a qualification in makeup, beauty, hair or dental.  We require technicians to undertake a compulsory two-day intensive training course. All our trainers are Certificate Four – trained and there is no DVD learning – it’s all hands on. We cover theory, application, health and safety and business and marketing. We also teach our technicians how to sit ergonomically, not to press down on the client’s face and correct isolation of the natural lash.

The scientific backing behind Xtreme Lashes® and the passion and foresight of the founder, Jo Mouselli, inspires top-quality product and highly skilled, personally customised application.  Originally a paediatric nurse, Mouselli worked with children whose mothers were busy with young children and didn’t feel like they had the time to maintain their appearance. She felt eyelash extensions would help to empower women by freeing up their time and their eyes would look great even when they are makeup free.

The importance of safety and standards cannot be underestimated. There are a number of possible reactions to poorly applied extensions or unsafe products and there can be serious consequences when an eye condition or infection such as blepharitis or conjunctivitis occurs.  The conjunctiva wraps around behind your eyeball and right up to the top lid so if any foreign objects come into contact with your conjunctiva the infection can spread into the blood stream. The FlexFusion adhesive developed by Xtreme Lashes® has been developed in an irritation minimisation system. The only thing we ask of clients is that they don’t let their lashes come into contact with water for the first 48 hours. Our adhesive also has a three-month shelf life whereas some others have a six-week shelf life. We also never sell our product to anyone who isn’t trained by us.
